7th Annual Buffalo Enviro-Fair Features Green Exhibitors

BUFFALO, NY – The 7th annual Buffalo Enviro-Fair will be celebrating Earth Month on Arbor Day, Friday, April 26th.

New York Senator Mark Grisanti is presenting sponsor of the event.   He issued this statement:   “As the Chairman of the Senate Environmental Committee, I work diligently to ensure that New York is leading the way on conservation and recycling.  I hope you can join me on April 26th for the 7th Annual Buffalo Enviro-Fair.  This is a great and free event to focus on ways we all can reduce, reuse, and recycle.”

The not-for-profits at the event are supported in-part by environmentally-aware business sponsors, who financially make it possible for them to exhibit at no charge.  Together they will take over Niagara Square in Downtown Buffalo.

Some of the participating exhibitors, in addition to Senator Grisanti and CIR Electrical, this year include the Fresh Air Fund, PUSH Green, Erie County Environmental Planning, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Grass Roots Gardens, Buffalo in Bloom, Heart for Animals, Re-Tree WNY, Viridian Green Energy, Buffalo Central Terminal Restoration Corp,  NY State Department of Environmental Conservation, NY Parks Interpretive Program, Natale Homes Rivera Greens development in Clarence, and the Buffalo Animal Shelter.

Rubberform Recycled Products, and Lake Shore Savings Bank are supporting sponsors.

Rubberform Recycled Products is returning to Buffalo Enviro-Fair for the third straight year.  The Lockport-based company recycles used rubber tires to manufacture durable road sign bases, speed bumps, and parking lot wheel stops.  Their phone number is toll-free (866) 424-6981 and their website is www.rubberform.com.

A short press conference will be held at 12:15pm with a tree planting with City of Buffalo dignitaries and Re-Tree WNY immediately following.

Buffalo Enviro-Fair is a free event and will be held rain or shine.

The first Buffalo Enviro-Fair was held before and during former Vice President Al Gore’s speech on global warming at UB Alumni Arena in April, 2007.  Since then, the event has been held every year in Niagara Square.
