We are the only true U.S. manufacturer of recycled composite plastic speed cushions and speed tables. We source all our recycled materials domestically, which means we’re helping clean up our backyard. We also design and manufacture all our products right here in Western New York, because we believe in American ingenuity and hardworking American hands.
What is the turnaround time for your speed cushions and speed tables?
Our speed cushions and speed tables are manufactured locally at our Western New York facility with some of the fastest lead times in the industry. Let us know your project timeline and we’ll work to accommodate your delivery needs.
What material are your speed cushions and speed tables made of?
Our speed cushions and speed tables use a custom composite recycled plastic material that won’t chip, crack, crumble, or corrode. We have innovated our materials to outlast crumb rubber speed humps under heavy traffic over many years of use.
Can we remove your speed cushions and speed tables for the winter when our snowplows are on the roads?
Yes, if you need to remove them for the winter, just unbolt and store for the season. If needed, seal the holes with any silicone-based material so water, dirt, and rocks do not get lodged in them.
What reflective material do you use on your speed cushions and tables?
Our speed cushions and tables use a retro-reflective thermoplastic arrow in place of the typical in-mold decorating. It lasts longer than the alternative and is maintainable. If you ever need to replace an arrow, call us and we’ll send you a simple kit to do so.
What is the difference between a speed cushion and speed table?
A speed cushion is narrow enough to allow emergency vehicles to pass unimpeded. A speed table is made from the same section pieces, but spans the whole street. Both are effective traffic calming devices.
How are your speed cushions and speed tables anchored down?
We offer a lag bolt anchor mounting system consisting of a lag bolt, plastic lag shield, and washer to anchor into pavement or concrete. There are 4 anchor holes for each modular section. We also include a two-part mortar cement that goes into the holes. This helps anchor the cushion or table on high traffic roads.
What are the dimensions of your speed cushions and speed tables?
Our 10-piece speed cushion is a 3” high x 6’6” wide x 6’8” traffic calming device. Our speed cushion slows traffic (without slowing emergency vehicles) to 20-25 mph. Our standard 10-piece speed cushion is a modular design, so we can customize them to fit any project or application, just ask. Our speed table section sizes are identical, and they are modular to span any width needed.
