FREQUENTLY ASKED
Can you crush our wheel stops by driving over them?
No. Watch this video for proof. We’ve engineered our wheel stop for the heaviest vehicles. They’ll withstand a vehicle drive-over, even from a cowboy in Texas (this actually happened).
What are your color options for wheel stops & polygons?
The base wheel stop is a black recycled composite material. The inserted polygons come in safety yellow, polar white, handicap blue (for handicapped parking spots), emergency red (emergency vehicle parking spots), and eco-green (hybrid, electric and eco-friendly vehicles). Custom colors are available and require a minimum order of 150 wheel stops. Every wheel stop has safety yellow end caps inserted for added visibility and safety for your patrons.
Does RubberForm offer a wheel stop warranty?
We stand behind our products with a 5-year product warranty from manufacturer defects. Under normal use, the RubberForm wheel stop should last for many more years. The 8 large polygons and 2 end yellow polygons are guaranteed for the lifetime of the product (if purchased directly from us).
What happens if the colored polygon breaks, gets ripped off, or fades?
Our polygons can be replaced in the field. Since the polygons all have a lifetime warranty (if purchased directly from us), give us a call and we’ll send a replacement. Then snap off the broken polygon and snap a new one in place, all without having to remove the wheel stop.
What is the turnaround time for your wheel stops?
Our parking lot wheel stops are generally a stock item that can be shipped the next business day from receipt of your order. Quantities over 1,000 may take additional time.
How many wheel stops fit on a pallet?
We can ship up to 84 wheel stops on our custom-made, heavy-duty-rated pallet (with wood side to hold everything in place in transit).
Are your wheel stops truly made in the USA?
RubberForm is one of the only true U.S. manufacturers of compounded composite recycled plastic wheel stops. Our wheel stops are made from domestically sourced recycled materials, molded, manufactured, and assembled in upstate New York. We believe American materials, workers, and ingenuity are the only way to maintain our high standards of quality.
Can I mix and match the colors on the same order?
Yes, any combination of standard colors can be ordered for the same price (more for custom colors).
What is the minimum rubber wheel stop order?
We have no minimums; RubberForm is very flexible! We ship via common carrier (LTL), and for smaller quantities we can ship via UPS and FedEx Ground.
How do I moor/mount wheel stops and what kind of mounting hardware do I need?
Generally, we recommend our 14” galvanized spike for installation into asphalt older than 2 years. For asphalt newer than 2 years or concrete, lag bolt hardware sets (lag bolt, lag shield, and washer) are needed. If you have the time and tools to install, using the lag bolt hardware set is the best way to mount/moor the wheel stops at a similar cost to the 14” galvanized spikes. We also have a 2-part epoxy adhesive for applications that don’t allow you to breach the surface for installation, such as reinforced concrete or parking decks.
How many lag bolts/rebar do I need to mount?
Every RubberForm wheel stop has 4 mounting/mooring holes. We recommend using all 4 holes to mount for optimal installation.
Will your parking lot wheel stop warp in the heat or crack in the cold?
No, not if they are installed properly. Our wheel stops are made of recycled composite plastics, so they don’t warp or crack. Proper installation is needed so they adhere to the ground.
