Jake Robbins is the Vice President of Business Development and a driving force behind RubberForm’s dynamic growth and expansion. Jake’s mission is to make communities safer for families to live, work, and play in.
After growing up alongside his father and founder of RubberForm, Bill Robbins, Jake witnessed the highs and lows of running a business and the level of involvement required. It only fueled his interest in continuing the legacy of his family’s business.
Now for more than five years, Jake has shaped the company’s trajectory and impact across diverse sectors, including parking lot safety, construction site safety, and municipal traffic safety.
Jake is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and an alumnus of the University at Buffalo School of Management Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership program. He spent his summers between college semesters honing his marketing skills and participating in internships at renowned organizations like Ingram Micro. His innate ability to build relationships led him to become the President of Buffalo Green, an e-commerce platform dedicated to connecting manufacturers with a green ethos.
As a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA), the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), and the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), Jake is committed to actively engaging in crucial conversations within the industries RubberForm serves.
In 2017, Jake assumed the Director of Public Sector Sales role, marking the beginning of a new and transformative era. His commitment to excellence led to the creation of RubberForm’s government sector, where he made significant contributions to its year-over-year growth. This success propelled him to expand the municipal sector, paving the way for his role in Business Development.
What Jake values most is relationships. Whether it’s collaborating with his RubberForm team, serving on the board of Western New York nonprofit, Home and Happy, or visiting with customers throughout North America, he is dedicated to fostering strong, impactful connections wherever he goes.
