RubberForm Speed Cushions are traffic calming devices and effective alternatives to asphalt and concrete speed humps or radar signs. Our speed cushions are carefully innovated and manufactured for easy installation and maintenance: no road closures, no heavy equipment, no large work crews are required. You can even install them to alleviate temporary traffic problems and easily remove them later.
Our Next-Gen recycled composite material can outlast and outperform the alternatives: concrete, asphalt, or compression molded recycled rubber. RubberForm speed cushions won’t crack, crumble, or corrode, no matter the heat, cold, rain, ice, or snow thrown at them.

Traffic calming, Speed Cushion, aka Speed Hump devices are usually so inconvenient. They’re loud. They can damage vehicles. They can slow emergency response times. RubberForm Speed Cushions are carefully innovated for convenience: they’re gentler than speed humps and speed bumps, eliminating noise and vehicle damage. Emergency responders can pass over them and between them unhindered while passenger traffic is naturally calmed. You can install them quickly without closing the road, without renting heavy equipment, and without hiring a large crew. Removal, relocation, or repair is just as easy as the first installation.
When we say our recycled composite speed cushions are “Next-Gen”, we mean we’re innovating every day to improve their quality. Our composite material combines recycled rubber and plastic to outlast and outperform asphalt, concrete, and compression molded rubber speed cushions. RubberForm Speed Cushions are made for all the extremes of North American weather: from the searing heat of the summer sun to the harsh chill of northern winters, as well as rain, ice, and snow. They won’t chip, warp, or spall due to weather or daily wear and tear. That means they’ll last for decades before replacement, saving you time, energy, and money.
RubberForm’s Speed Cushion are made up of 10 individual sections that are securely connected with our specially designed dual flange connectors. This design makes them much more durable and straightforward to install. Each speed cushion can have as many white arrows as needed, inlaid with a reflective thermoplastic retro material (3 arrows will meet the MUTCD standard). These thermoplastic, burnt-on arrows are easy to replace, maintaining good visibility after years of wear and tear.

A speed cushion is narrow enough to allow emergency vehicles to pass unimpeded. A speed table is made from the same section pieces, but spans the whole street. Both are effective traffic calming devices.
How are your speed cushions and speed tables anchored down?
We offer a lag bolt anchor mounting system consisting of a lag bolt, plastic lag shield, and washer to anchor into pavement or concrete. There are 4 anchor holes for each modular section. We also include a two-part mortar cement that goes into the holes. This helps anchor the cushion or table on high traffic roads.
