If the potential part was thin-walled, small in profile, and a conventional design, you’d probably be fine to find a profile extruder close by. But if you needed:
- 2-to-3-inch wall thickness (or thicker!)
- Wide or tall cross-sections
- Long, continuous lengths
- Dimensional stability without deformation

At RubberForm, we’ve invented and perfected a thick-walled profile extrusion process that can produce thick-walled parts up to 24″ in width, 12″ tall, and virtually any length your product application would need. It took years of R&D and lots of sweat, tears, and hard work. But it was worth it.
How it works
Traditional rubber profile extrusion is very limited by the curing process, where the conventional extruded rubber is exposed to heat, pressure, and chemicals in an autoclave or microwave curing system until it hardens in its extruded shape. This outmoded curing limits the size of the final product (usually to 10 feet in length) and increases the cost and time required to manufacture it.
RubberForm’s new profile extrusion system cools directly on the country’s largest conveyor using chilled air and water. We can extend the conveyor to accommodate any needed length, only limited by what can be shipped. It also means we can produce in two weeks what would have taken a year to make previously with conventional rubber extrusions and in most cases, we can do it for less.
