Product Description

Most traffic calming methods are a huge pain. Concrete and asphalt speed bumps are difficult and time-consuming to install and maintain. They’re even harder to remove later when your needs change. They’re ugly, and when they chip, crack, and crumble (and they will), they stop working well–and somehow get uglier.

RubberForm MLSB Speed Bumps are blessedly easy and convenient. They’re simple to install and just as easy to remove or relocate later. If you do want to attach them permanently, you can. They’re fully modular, which means you can link them together to span any width needed. Their reflectors and safety reflective strips maintain high visibility at night, in fog, rain, or snow. They also come in variable heights, which means you can slow your target traffic down to as little as a stop to 3-5 miles per hour, or select a height designed to slow larger vehicles instead of personal vehicle traffic.

Our MLSB speed bumps are carefully innovated to withstand every possible environment you might want to install them in. They won’t melt in the searing summer sun or shatter in the frigid cold. They’re unaffected by rain, ice, or snow.  Our 100% American recycled masticated rubber won’t chip, warp, or spall either.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

What is the reflective material on your speed bumps?

We use AASHTO approved yellow reflectors, 2 on our MLSB2.5. On our MLSB3, we use a high prismatic reflective metal strip. We have found this to be a far more durable solution than the fabric road tape that many other manufacturers use. If our reflector breaks in our MLSB2.5 or the reflective metal strip comes off the MLSB3, they can easily be replaced, just call us.

Can I install your speed bumps on a gravel road?

Yes, you can install our MLSB line of speed bumps on gravel with (recommended) an earth anchor mounting system or a  14” rebar spike. These spikes and earth anchor screws will need to be checked and re-secured periodically.

How are your speed bumps anchored down?

We offer a lag bolt anchor mounting system consisting of a lag bolt, plastic lag shield, and washer to anchor into pavement or concrete. There are 4 anchor holes for each MLSB section and SB-10 section. For temporary situations, you can just simply lay the MLSB down.

What are the dimensions of the MLSB?

All our MLSB model sections are 18” wide x 36” long. The MLSB2.5 is 2.5” high and slows traffic to 5-10 mph. The MLSB3 is 3” high and slows traffic to 5 mph. The MLSB4 is 4” high and slows traffic to 2-5 mph (passing vehicles will need at least 4” of ground clearance). We can create what we call “flush ends” for a finished look, just ask.

What is the turnaround time for your speed bumps and speed humps?

Our speed bumps and speed humps are usually in stock and can be shipped out the following day. Larger orders (greater than 100 units) will take longer. Let us know your project timeline and we’ll work to accommodate your delivery needs.

Can we remove your speed bumps or speed humps for the winter when our snowplows are on the roads?

Yes, if you need to remove them for the winter, just unbolt and store for the season. If needed, seal the holes with any silicone-based material so water, dirt, and rocks do not get lodged in them.

Are your speed bumps and speed humps truly made in the USA?

We are the only true U.S. manufacturer of recycled composite plastic speed bumps and speed humps. We source all our recycled materials domestically, which means we're helping clean up our backyard. We also design and manufacture all our products right here in Western New York, because we believe in American ingenuity and hardworking American hands.
